With a sold-out Grand Hall of the Berlin Philharmonie, the Würth Philharmoniker celebrated a dazzling debut on the First Sunday of Advent before an audience of over 2,000 visitors. Under the direction of their Chief Conductor Claudio Vandelli, the orchestra presented an opera gala that captivated the audience from the very first minute. The program featured works by Giuseppe Verdi, Charles Gounod, Gaetano Donizetti, George Gershwin, and others, offering an impressive musical variety.
The Würth Philharmoniker are delighted to welcome internationally renowned conductor Kent Nagano as their Honorary Conductor beginning with the 2025/2026 season. With this special distinction, the orchestra pays tribute to the outstanding artistic collaboration and long-standing relationship with Kent Nagano.
For their third album, the Würth Philharmoniker and their Chief Conductor Claudio Vandelli have thought of something special - or more precisely a special guest: none other than the US-American baritone Thomas Hampson. Together, they are casting a light onto the works of Johannes Brahms and Franz Schubert.
Starting on January 1st 2020, Claudio Vandelli, who is originally from Milan, will take on the position as Chief Conductor of the Würth Philharmoniker. With the 51-year-old, the sound body gains an experienced and highly musical personality!
